Shorthand for Epic

Shorthand For Epic was Billy Corazon's next project after playing in punk band Mea Culpa (who released a 7" and CD on Empty Records). The band was decidedly more pop/commercial, featuring keyboards, pop melodies, sing-a-longs, and dueling male and female vocals... they had a mix of new wave and power pop going on. The band took-off locally (in Seattle) in the middle of 2005 after playing a few live shows after getting some good local press. KEXP put the band into regular rotation, they played a bunch of live shows, and I think toured down the West Coast. But in October 2007 two of the members left the band and the project ended.

These photos were from a show the band played at The Monkey Pub on May 27th, 2006. The band's MySpace profile has more info and music, including my favorite song they did, "My Own Private Weimer," which sounded kinda like Berlin with a male singer.

I'm still waiting for your extensive Mea Culpa bio on here Halligan. Looks like you are getting in to our time frame with the Pop Shapes and stuff. ;-)
